West Loop Kitchen Renovation Continues
Since last week the cabinets have been installed and the measure for the countertops has been done. The countertops can take up to 3 weeks, but there is plenty of work to do in the meantime. The lighting will be installed, the appliances hooked up, the cabinet doors installed and the entire kitchen and great room will be painted. The kitchen already looks updated with its dark brown flat paneled cabinetry. Above the sink there is an open cabinet for display. It will have glass shelves and lighting. Across from the kitchen the fireplace is almost complete. As sometimes happens, more tile is needed to finish. Luckily this tile is in stock so there will be no delays!
Lakeview Sun Room
The leather poufs have arrived after a long wait. In navy leather they are firm enough to function as an extra seat as well as an ottoman. The last piece being worked on is the window treatments. We are busy looking for the perfect fabric for the Roman Shades. Then it will be finished off with a few throw pillows and wall art.
Oak Park Great Room
Oak Park Great Room demolition has begun. The fireplace surround and tile will be removed along with a knee wall that now separates the living room from the dining room. Lots of work needs to be done in time for the October 15th deadline. Recessed lighting and new crown molding will be installed. The entire room will be painted before the built in cabinetry and benches are installed. By then hopefully all the new furniture will have arrived. Check back to see if our deadline will be met!
